TO041 Holland: Services and Fares. Winter 1959
NEW AUGUST 2016. The British Railways booklet entitled 'Holland: Services and Fares' covering the period from 4 October 1959 to 28 May 1960.
It gives timetables from Liverpool Street via Harwich (Parkeston Quay) and the Hook of Holland to around forty of the principal Dutch stations. One set of these is for the night boat, and another set is for the day boat operated by the Zeeland Steamship Company. Further timetables follow for routes from London Victoria via Dover and Folkestone.
Then comes a section listing first and second class fares and baggage rates through to those Dutch towns, always by ferries to the Hook and sometimes giving different prices from London Victoria as well.
The booklet concludes with some pages headed 'General Information'. This deals with matters such as passports and embarkation cards, reservations, break of journey and customs arrangements.
