NEW MAY 2025. This is the official LNER public timetable for what it describes as its Continental services - in other words, shipping plus connecting rail services on both sides of the North Sea.  It describes this traffic in its heyday, beginning 22 May 1937.  (In marked contrast, File TP037 provides similar information for 1946, in the aftermath of the War.)

The copy scanned is in good condition. It contains 204 pages plus a fold-out map at the back. Much of it details services via Harwich, but it also covers routes from Grimsby, Hull, Newcastle and Leith. By far the most ambitious timetable in it is for Liverpool Street to China and Japan via Siberia!

The book starts with a two-page advert for summer weekend cruises from Harwich on the SS Vienna, and ends with ten pages of adverts for travel in the USA and Canada.
