RC050 BR Facilities for Freight 1967
A booklet for prospective customers describing the freight services which were on offer in 1967. It illustrates well the strides that had been made since the earlier edition in 1961 (RC022).
This happens to be the version for the LMR, so the contacts described are for places such as Liverpool, Nottingham and Preston. Nevertheless the main portion was applicable to all regions of the BR at the time.
The many topics covered include Freightliner services, 'Condor' express container services, the 'Collico' service, European freight services and passenger services for the businessman. There is a list of the internal dimensions and capacity of the standard wagons and containers then in general use. It is illustrated with black-and-white photographs
