TO057: Passenger Locomotive Diagrams in the Stratford District, Summer 1954.
NEW DECEMBER 2021. This 91-page book contains all the separate weekday passenger diagrams for steam locomotives in the entire Stratford District (the Sunday ones are not included). They all appear in very readable typescript.
There are three sections: country diagrams on weekdays, including summer Saturdays; suburban diagrams Mondays to Fridays; and suburban diagrams on Saturdays.
The sheds and sub-sheds which feature for the country diagrams are Stratford, Braintree, Clacton, Colchester, Maldon East, Parkeston and Walton. The suburban diagrams (for steam only, not electrics) include Stratford, Chelmsford, Epping, Hertford, Buntingford, Bishop's Stortford, Wood Street, Enfield, Southend and Southminster.
Each diagram states the passenger power class of the locomotive to be rostered for it. As a bonus we have compiled a table which relates these to the actual classes of engines available on the GE at that time.
