PP004 Liverpool Street to Shenfield in the late 1950s.
NEW APRIL 2017. A set of twenty black-and-white photographs depicting a journey from Liverpool Street to Shenfield. The shots were taken in the end-of-steam/early diesel era - the late 1950s or the early 1960s.
The file starts with a diagrammatic map of the route. There follow twenty pages each containing one of the photos plus a brief caption to it. A photograph is intended to be viewed so it is as large as possible on your screen, and it should look very effective like that.
Locations featured include Liverpool Street, the junction with the East London line, Spitalfields and Devonshire Street goods yards, Stratford, Forest Gate, Ilford flyover and station, Ilford depot, Goodmayes, Romford, Gidea Park, Brentwood and Shenfield.
Each picture can be also be printed in good definition at approximately six inches by four if desired. This is achieved by opting on the 'Print...' page for page scaling to be none. Alternatively, if you set the paper to be landscape and choose scaling to fit to printable area, it will come out as an A4 print - inevitably with lower resolution but still it is hoped acceptable.
The file will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
