RW019: Salaries of GER Clerical Workers 1911.

NEW JULY 2024.  We have to thank Bill King for finding and scanning this little gem.  It is a 16-page booklet with paper covers which was produced by the Railway Clerks' Association in 1911, presumably for circulation amongst the clerical staff of the GER.

It gives an account of the latest salary scales, and is scathing about the 'benevolence' of the GER Board. The payments made to their shareholders are quoted, and its clerical salaries are compared unfavourably with those of some other railways at that time.  Unsurprisingly perhaps, the final page consists of an application form to become a member of the Railway Clerks' Association.

The file is word-searchable. It will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
