RG062: Tourist Guide to London, LNER 1925.
NEW JANUARY 2024. This book was one of a series produced in the early days of the LNER for tourists. It is undated, but clues within it reveal it came out in 1925..
There are 24 pages of text, describing a set of walks starting from Trafalgar Square and proceeding in different directions. Every page contains a black-and-white photograph. The final page gives a list of all the tourist publications available from the LNER at the time. There is no map provided.
Other booklets in the series we offer are the one on the Broads (File RG049), ‘Notes for American Visitors’ (part of RG051) and a third entitled ‘Cathedrals, Abbeys and Historic Places’ (RG061).
We have Bill King to thank for making these scans available to us.
