LM029 BR Class 86 Electric Locomotives
NEW NOVEMBER 2015. This was a supplement to the driver's manual to cover the new class A.6 electric locomotives which were about to come into service. Class A.6 comprised 100 locomotives, numbered E3101 to E3200, intended to work the lines north from Euston. In 1968, with the introduction of the TOPS system of numbering, they became class 86. Later some were cascaded to the GE main line to operate the newly electrified Liverpool Street to Norwich services.
This booklet was issued by the London Midland region in November 1964 as their reference BR12034/5. It contained 44 pages, many of which are shown here as two-page spreads.
