LG044: GER 48-foot Bogie Composite Carriage, c.1900.
NEW AUGUST 2021. We have found it difficult to be able to offer to modellers suitable drawings of GER passenger stock - the only ones available to us are nearly all still in copyright. This is one of the few we can provide, taken from the Model Railway News of December 1945.
It depicts a GER bogie corridor coach, 48' 3" in length, from around 1900. This one is a composite with four third class compartments, two first class ones and a space for luggage. At the time it would have been employed on main-line trains, including through services to some of the branches.
The single-page article from the magazine is supplied. Because the booklet is small, as well as a short description the drawing there is at a tiny scale of approximately 2 mm to the foot.
This is followed by an englarged image we have made of the drawing, which may be printed out on to A4 paper to show the carriage at a 4 mm scale.
The file will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
