RH017 The Victorians - Students Booklet
ADDED TO THE EMPORIUM MAY 2012. Our summaries of the original Minutes Books of the ECR and the GER, held at the National Archives in Kew, have given many revealing glimpses of Victorian life and thinking. 'The Victorians' is an educational project we have developed based on some of these.
The Student's Booklet is arranged in two-page spreads each devoted to a topic. The first is entitled Start Here Please. Glimpse 1 is about horses; succeeding ones are based on the working classes, the bosses, born rich, discipline, care for the poor, health, life's dangers, and crime & punishment. It might be a good idea to begin with the first one, as its name implies, though it is not essential. Otherwise each 'glimpse' is self-contained so any one may be tackled on its own.
We are happy for you to make copies on the understanding that they are for your personal use for a bona fide educational purpose. In return we would be grateful to learn in return what you used them for and how they went - just a brief email to sales@gersociety.org.uk would do fine.

RH018 comprises the accompanying teacher's notes, and you are urged to get a set of those as well.
