Y14's at work in Trainz 2012 and TANE was created by Anne Welborn (Annie)
Hello, my name is Annie and I'm a very new member of the society. I took up virtual railway modelling after developing health problems that prevented me from making physical (real world) railway models. The Trainz railway simulator by N3V/Auran has been a life saver for me as it's enabled me to carry on with the hobby I love instead of staring blankly at my bedroom wall all day.
For over two years now I've been working on a layout which is 'hidden in a fold in the map' somewhere near the coast in Norfolk. The Trainz Uk scene for the GER was somewhat on the bare side when I started out so I had to creatively use some substitutes when it came to locomotives, but there was a older BR condition Y14 model that had been re-skinned into GER blue by a fellow pre-grouping era Trainz enthusiast. Yes it's not entirely correct, but as one of the few GER locomotives available for Trainz I wasn't going to look a gift horse on the mouth. While I'm reasonably good with graphics software I can't use 3D modelling software for toffee so than means I've sometimes had to make do with substitutes for buildings and other railway items.
One of the pictures is from my attempt to move my Norfolk layout into TANE (Trainz A New Era).
