Hi All,

I was invited here to share some of my project work, both model and digital. I'll start with this, a thread showing my physical models. My long term aim is to build a complete collection of the preserved GE Fleet, the twist being that the locos currently preserved in other conditions will be shown in my fleet as they would have appeared if built by the GER. my collection will represent the 7 preserved great eastern locomotives as built, plus the two new build designs. First up on my list to recreate was GER Y14 564. The base was a hornby low cab J15, which I changed certain parts to phoenix castings to more closely match the prototype. I then had the repaint commissioned by warren haywood. Lastly, I carefully cut away the incorrect tender raves.

Other vehicles in this series i plan to do are
G58 - Unlined Black as 1217 - I have just picked up a secondhand BEC kit from ebay and am going to be backdating that
L77 - Grey as 1021 (Number 7999 would have carried if built for the GER) - Planned to use the oxford N7 Renumbered
T26 - Lined Blue as 490 - planned to be a 3D print from a friends design. Will be printed at home with my own resin printer.
R24- Lined blue as 87 -  planned to be a 3D print from a friends design. Will be printed at home with my own resin printer.
S69 - Lined blue as 1572 (Number 8572  would have carried if built for the GER) - I have built this from an old McGowan kit but am looking at replacing it in the future with a 3D printed design.
Y6 - Lined Blue as 209 - planned to be a 3D print from a friends design. Will be printed at home with my own resin printer.

M15R - Lined Blue as 789 - planned to be a 3D print from a friends design. Will be printed at home with my own resin printer.
D56 - Lined blue as 1789 (Number 8789  would have carried if built for the GER)  - planned to be a 3D print from a friends design. Will be printed at home with my own resin printer.

as you can see, a lot of 3D printed designs! Thats because im fortunate enough to work with a lot of people who design digital models for the game Train Simulator 2021. I also have a decent amount of experience 3D modelling in blender as I also develop addons for this game, something i will share in another thread.

Enjoy these photos, feedback is greatly appreciated. Please note these studio photos were taken before i stomached the courage to cut away the tender raves, hence they are still present here. When its a nice day i shall go outside and take some photos of the loco in sunlight. The blue really comes to life in sunny weather!

Regards,
Brad.
