With kind permission from the Model Railway Journal, I attach some photographs taken a number of years ago of both Dunwich and Blakeney (both EM gauge layouts). Dunwich was built by a team lead by the late Roy Jackson and featuring superb buildings constructed by Geoff Kent. Blakeney was later built by Geoff as a personal project. Both layouts still survive under different ownership and Dunwich has been renamed and regauged to S4. In my humble opinion, both are excellent examples of the modellers’ art.
A J15 takes a local freight over the bridge crossing the Dunwich River
Blakeney station buildings
The maltings at Dunwich
A B17 pauses in Dunwich with the maltings in the background
A Britannia crosses Dunwich River at the head of an express
A view down the platform at Blakeney. More photos of Blakeney can be found in the layouts section of the showcase.
