Comet Models LNER Thompson Semi-Corridor Lavatory Composite D338. The problem with taking photos of your kits is you expose their flaws that you might not see in normal vision! I need to figure out how I fixed this carriage body to the chassis and gain access to replace the windows.
D&S Models LNER Restaurant Car Diagram 30E. My first brass coach kit. I did build the bogies as supplied, but wasn't happy with them, and found a picture of E667E with Gresley bogies at Colchester in 1957 so got some MJT whitemetal bogies and made them up.
I've built a few of these Ian Kirk kits, and have another 5 to build! I also need to finish off one Quad Art set, build the other, and build the Quint Art set also! Plenty to keep me busy!
My first attempt at locomotive kit building was this Nu Cast whitemetal kit. I chose 65456 because I have a picture of it at Marks Tey station, outside the goods shed, in East Anglian Steam Gallery Part Two.
The start of an attempt to model a typical Stour Valley branch train. I need to replace the full brake with a brake third compartment to match a photo I have (somewhere!) of a train crossing Chappel Viaduct.
