As I'm not going to get round to getting these 4mm scale models painted in time for the showcase I thought i would be good to present them in the raw as it were

Both will end up running initially on my Skeetsmere layout (See layouts part of showcase for progress)

First up:

Holden E22 Class #151 in its pre first rebuild condition so it has original boiler but with modifications such as the injector steam feeds on the top of the boiler which were retrofitted post construction. also running as a 2-4-0 which i thought would be fun.
its built from the London Road (Ex Riceworks) Kit with a few embellishments, namely my own design of smokebox door which i think better captures the dished GE Pattern
Under the bonnet it has my usual spec of Mashima Motor, Flywheel Drive, High Level Gearbox and Fexichas Compensation

And here is the real thing for comparison....

The Second is a converted Hornby J15 backdated to represent Y14 #510 (one of those built after the N31 calamity).... im not the only person to have done this conversion but probably the only person to have been so extreme about it.... once again my own Smokebox door, Gibson Fittings and the tender my special sprung drawbar arrangement

both are fitted with Zimo decoders and stayalives and runs superbly, all i have to do now is paint one blue and one black..... but that will be for next showcase.....
