NEW OCTOBER 2018. This is a six-page booklet issued by British Railways to the public in 1956, informing them of the timetables which would apply when the electric trains started running to Southend.
Two pages are filled with the full timetables for through trains between Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria, dated 31st December 1956 to 16th June 1957 or until further notice. The other four pages consist of an account of the new trains and the new infrastructure ("Between Rochford and Prittlewell the structures have been painted in distinctive colours for the safety of aircraft using the airport"). This is illustrated with six black-and-white photographs.
The file will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
