NEW OCTOBER 2018. This file shows the front and back of two LNER timetable handouts provided for the general public.
The first, from 1928, is a handbill entitled 'Altered and Additional Trains'. It relates both to Southend Victoria and to the Southminster branch. It lists just the forthcoming changes rather than the full service. The new trains were to begin on 1st May. The Sunday service was due to undergo further changes from June 3rd, and these are also given in detail.
The second is a timetable leaflet dated 1st June to 19th July 1931. It gives the trains between Southend Victoria, all stations to Shenfield and thence to Liverpool Street. It advertises itself as 'Additional and Altered Train Service...to London', but this one provides what appears to be the full timetable for weekdays and Sundays. It also records the prices of season tickets and cheap day returns.
The file will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
