That was the year the first part of the railway opened, and this guide was doubtless produced to encourage travel. It covers Shoreditch to Romford. The guide comprises 54 small pages, many of which are arranged here four to an A4 page. Illustrated with a few line drawings, e.g. Leytonstone Road Turnpike Bridge.
