For enthusiasts and researchers of the Great Eastern Railway

RG037: Cambridge as a railway centre, 1908-1935.

NEW FEBRUARY 2021. This is a 41-page collection of five illustrated articles relating to Cambridge, which appeared in the Railway Magazine between 1908 and 1934. These are followed by a further three pages of snippets from 1935: one is a set of corrections to the 1934 article, and all the others constitute a discussion as to whether Cambridge station once had an up platform.

The five articles are: Notable railway stations - Cambridge (December 1908); Oxford to Cambridge by the L&NWR (October 1910); The Great Northern route to Cambridge (July 1918); Power signalling at Cambridge, LNER (March 1927); and Cambridge as a railway centre (December 1934).

Please note that the article on the Great Northern route to Cambridge also appears in item TO002.
