Scans of a superb book by our late member Geoff Pember containing maps, photographs, scale drawings and an account of GER 0-4-4T locomotives used for suburban services (the survivors becoming LNER class G4). Data for every single locomotive is tabulated. Their allocation and duties are described. The gradient profile of the line to Chingford is given, with two sample runs. Details of liveries and GER Loco Superintendents are also provided.
