This records the separation between stations in miles and chains, taken from the working timetables. The data covers the GER, the GN&GE Joint and the Norfolk & Suffolk Joint Railways. For two lines (Shoreditch to New Cross, and Cambridge to Foxton) this was not given in the working timetables, so the distances to the nearest quarter of a mile from the public timetables have been stated instead.
