RH054 Britain's Railways at the End of World War Two.
NEW JANUARY 2018. This is the book "It can now be revealed: more about British railways in peace and war", published jointly by all the main railways in 1945. Its 64 pages contain many black-and-white photographs. One of the things it revealed for the first time was the part played by the railways in designing and building all sorts of armaments, including LMS tanks. It also brings the accounts in earlier books up to date with the prepations for D-day and the need to deal with the damage inflicterd by the V1 flying bombs. Finally, with peace at last, it looks ahead to the future.
