NEW JANUARY 2023. File LM054 is a handbook from 1967, produced during the early days of the class 47 locomotives. It included a section on fault finding. The file here was issued by British Railways much later - in 1980 - to give drivers a guide to fault finding. It is different from the early version and includes details describing special features of two later variants, class 47/4 and class 47/7.

As well as the fault-finding charts themselves, its 36 pages include general specifications for the locomotives and several drawings to illustrate the location of equipment and fittings, controls and warning lights.
