RG019 Harwich and the Continent
NEW SEPTEMBER 2014. This charming book was produced by the LNER in 1947. Charles Wilson was the author. It deals with the history of Continental routes from Harwich. The four chapters are entitled The Early Packet Services (1650-1834); The Revival and Growth of Harwich (1846-1939); The Years of War (1914-18 and 1939-45); and The Return of Peace (1945).
It is a 32-page book. There are several illustrations (one of which is in colour), including some LNER posters and maps.
